This is What PNN Is Made Of...
PNN is made of women like ComicTragedy and MotherofMany, women who are mothers and sisters and aunts and friends. Women who pull together sponsors and donations and non-profit partnerships in a mere matter of days. Women who fill E350 vans with jaw-dropping amounts of goods to be donated to others who need it more. Women who remember to bring enough boas so that everyone, including the 3 lovely ladies who joined us for dinner at the shelter, can be a part of the gang. Women who know the value of the group, the family. This is what PNN is made of.
PNN is made of women like Writing and Conchita, who bring a certain sophistication, interest and enjoyment to the party. Women who are walking encyclopedias of information and who are happy to share it (Writing, you amaze me woman). Women who might not feel well, but dammit, they don't miss the show... they show up and the night is better because they did (Conch, so glad you made it girl)! This is what PNN is made of.
PNN is made of women like Kimber and HannahBanana. These are the girls who take you back to meeting your first real girlfriend in the sandbox at the park when you were a little girl. The girls you play dress-up with, share your silliest stories amongst without abandon, and then laugh about it all over a drink and dance later. These are women, who upon meeting, you wonder how it possibly took so long to cross paths with, and who, in a night, feel like you've known and counted as a friend for years. This is what PNN is made of.
PNN is made of women like me, HipChick. We are women who love shoes and little black dresses, who love our mothers even when we fight with them and our significant others even when we're flat-out exhausted. We are women who work out even when we would rather eat pizza (we'll eat it afterwards anyway), who believe in being a part of something larger than ourselves alone, and who know that you can find friends in the most unassuming places. We have something to say and we're not afraid to do so. And ALWAYS, we look forward to coming here to share with our counterparts, our peers - our friends.
**The Phreak in Philly was wonderful ladies - thank you for all being a part of it with me. Be proud that our good time together also meant a good time for the women from the shelter who joined us for dinner and received our donations, and for those who will receive our grocery items at the food bank. I'm so thrilled to count you all as friends - and to the ladies of the upcoming West Coast Phreak - I hope that you all have as much fun as I did.**
*kisses girls* :)
